The PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Plastic Welding Rod is offered here in 3 mm diameter (as shown in the table below.) This fluoropolymer welding rods are mainly used in the fabrication of chemical baths, wet benches, chemical tanks and vessels (for aggresive chemicals), bespoke inert liquid enclosures and semiconductor wafer baskets.

Accurate Thin and Flexible - To be used in conjunction with our digital thermometer helps to check the hot air preheat and extrudate temperatures, required by German DVS Standards Code 2207-4. Great for inserting into the hot melt plastic extrudate at the end of the extruder welder barrell.

Weldable Anti-Vandalism Security Profile/Tape/Cable for Side Curtain Vehicles/Lorries HGV`S

Application:-

The weldable 25mm Wide PVC Anti-Vandalism Tapes/Profile (with 1.5mm Steel Wire) can be used to secure loads against theft.

More and more transport companies have to deal with the theft of their loads, which culminates in insurance claims, downtime etc...

The transport company is also left with a PVC Tarpaulin/Side Curtain that is slashed or cut up.

A good method to combat the damage is a weldable PVC tape with a 1.5mm steel cable in the centre of the tape. This is then welded onto the inside of the PVC textile side curtain.

This product can also be applied to any form of PVC screen. Such as: tent walls, advertising banners, market stands, etc...

Insurance:-

Insurance companies in the U.K. and France have approved this method of welding as an anti-theft device. Insurance premiums are also reduced in several other European countries if this method of anti-vandalism welded side curtains are fitted to the road hauliers trucks & lorries.

Specifications:-

The 1.5 mm galvanized steel wire is covered with plastic and is available in 3 different colours. The 25 mm wide plastic profile can be applied on the tarpaulin with our Forsthoff DB Hot Air Welding Machine (fitted with our Anti Vandalism Welding Kit - See below for related products). The profile is made of a soft PVC and is extremely flexible making it suitable for the application.

Heat Transfer Paste/Compound

Comes in a 450gm (16oz) Tub with an applicator brush on the inside of the lid

Heat Transfer Paste is a heat sinking compound for improving the transfer of heat away from the heater into the application. Applying heat transfer paste over the surface of the heater fills holes and slight deformations to reduce hot spots and remove the air gap between the heater and the load. This improves the warm up time and increases the reliability of the heater.

The petroleum base material used in our heat transfer paste has a continuous operational temperature of 180ºC or 350°F. At this temperature, the paste offers both a corrosion protection and lubrication. When temperatures exceed 300ºC or 550F, the solid filters take over the job of preventing seizing and wear between the surfaces.

The Heat Transfer Paste is suitable for the following applications: -

Heater Bands

By brushing paste onto the barrel and on the inside of heater bands, this fills the tiny pores and should prevent air gaps under band type heaters. In turn this enables the heat to be more conducted away in a more uniformed manner; this should lead to an extended life and improved heat input.

Regarding heater bands that operate around 500C or 1000F, the petroleum based paste will decompose at 300°C or 550°F. This will leave behind solid fillers which will continue to aid in heat transfer and anti-wearing properties up to 1100°C or 2000°F.

Heater Cartridges

The paste should be applied liberally to the cartridge heaters providing a better heat transfer. This lets you safely use larger tolerances on cartridge heater holes. The paste should eliminate hot spots causing heater cartridges to burn out.

Solid State Relays

Apply the paste to the base of Solid State Relays before fitting to a metal surface or heat sink will improve the transfer of heat to the heat sink and increase the lifespan & reliability of the SSR (Solid State Relay).
